Marcel Bwanga

 Marcel Bwanga is from Douala, Cameroon. He began his musical career in the early 80's, singing & writing original songs for musical artists in Cameroon, Central Africa.

At the age of 15, he was recognized for his brilliance & talents & was invited to tour with Nigerian singer Nico Mbarga band. Marcel & Nico band toured the African continent together. At 16, Marcel went to Europe where he continued performing & writing songs for other artists. Marcel's most popular song was "Ndolo L'Amour" & was made famous by Cameroonian artist Pierre De Moussy. Marcel's first solo album was released in 1984. Since then he has released other albums. marcel promoted african music,produced shows for a lot of african musicians like dina bell,guy lobe,charlotte mbango,hoigen ekwalla,grace decca,georges seba,douleur,petit pays,tom youms,maele,bessoso,ndedi dibango,kabamane,cesera evora,aurlius mabele,the legendary jamaican jimmy cliff,and much moore...l Marcel lived between spain and france promoting his own music and band, relocating to Los Angeles in 1998. He then signed with the legendary Prince Eyango of Preya Music. Marcel's first album released in the United States was "Enigme" & was the biggest hit of his career. Marcel Bwanga continues to expand his repertoire & has been highly influenced by the music of the French Islands, jazz & zook. He incorporates the lively & exciting makossa into all of his music. Makossa is a popular Cameroonian style originating from the Douala region. Marcel Bwanga's infectious rhythms are highly entertaining, creating an intensity that will inspire audiences to get up on their feet.;
